Breaking: MMM Nigeria top guilder Chuddy Ugorji and his wife flee Nigeria to Philippines

Top Guider and first initiator of the  popular ponzi scheme, mavrodi mondial moneybox, MMM, Mr. Chuddy Ugorji has reportedly fled the country with his wife, Amaka to the Philippines.

Indications suggest that Mr. Chuddy fled because perhaps he knows MMM might not be able to pay its participants again.

This is coming days after over 2 million participants of the scheme  are still not able to get the money they invested in the scheme even after it claimed to have resumed full time.

Recall that the ponzi scheme had blocked the access to requesting for financial assistance, Getting Help (GH) during the yuletide seasons. After a month’s blockade of the access, known as Mavros, the ponzi scheme announced it had unfrozen the Mavros for its participants to begin withdrawals. However, up till the filling of this report, many are yet to get their money back, which totals to millions.

However, Chuddy’s relocation came barely 24 hours after he released a new set of conditions for the payment of some three million Nigerian investors wherein those with little investments are to be paid first before those who invested heavily.

He had given the participant, called Mavrodians, the impression that the Ponzi scheme has started paying the outstanding mavro (money) but it has turned out to be not entirely true.

Nigeria Customs intercepts container of yam porridge, jollof rice, egusi and ogbono soup from India

The Tin-Can Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has intercepted a 20ft container of “READY TO EAT FOODS’’ like egusi soup, jollof rice, ogbono, yam porridge imported from India.

The Customs Area Comptroller, Bashar Yusuf, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Monday in Lagos by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Uche Ejesieme.

Mr. Yusuf spoke with stakeholders at the SDV/SCOA Terminal while handing over the container of imported prepared foods to officials of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC.

The comptroller described the scenario as an “aberration”, considering the fact that government granted zero duty for the importation of machinery for the packaging of agricultural products.

“Why should indigenous menu be imported into the country at a time when investors are much sought after to boost local industries,” the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quotes Yusuf as saying.

The controller said the command generated N25.7 billion in November, up from N25.3 billion recorded in October.

Mr. Yusuf said that the higher revenue was recorded in spite of the recession and low imports.

He said that the command would continue to explore all avenues for maximum revenue collection.

According to him, this is in view of the exigencies of the moment, which placed more responsibilities on the service.

Mr. Yusuf urged potential investors to take advantage of the numerous export potential in the country for their socio-economic benefits.

In a related development, while briefing a group of senior officers undergoing training in the command, the controller admonished them to make professionalism, integrity and transparency as their watchword.

He also urged the officers to ensure effective leadership and supervision in carrying out their duties.

Mr. Yusuf said the various trade facilitation tools as provided in the automation of Customs procedures would guide the officers in the discharge of their functions.

The comptroller told the officers to see training and re-training as a veritable tools that would sharpen their knowledge toward achieving desired results.

He appreciated the Comptroller-General of Customs, Hameed Ali, for effectively re-positioning the service in spite of global recession.

“NCS is still working tirelessly to remain on top of its statutory mandate,’’ he said.

Mr. Yusuf said that this could not have been possible if not for the pragmatic leadership of the comptroller-general and his management.

“In this era and dispensation, officers are expected to be above board with deep sense of commitment and responsibility in the discharge of their functions.

“The Change ideology of the comptroller -general must be given priority attention,” he said.

He, however, warned that anybody that fails to key into the new order would be seriously sanctioned.

Kim Kardashians is Forbes highest paid reality star on earth, made $122.5 Million with her sisters just in 2016

This is culled from Forbes magazine:

Think reality TV doesn’t matter? Take a look at America’s next President. Donald Trump’s role on NBC’s The Apprentice helped him amass a social following of 33.7 million. The President-elect’s virtual megaphone built on itself during his campaign to lure real-life followers and define a platform–building walls, banning Muslims, overturning Roe v. Wade–that resulted in his shocking electoral victory.

Yet Trump’s combined following across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram actually pales in comparison to that of the top-earning reality star of 2016, Kim Kardashian West. She earned an estimated $51 million in our June 2015-June 2016 scoring period, before taxes and fees, and boasts some 165.6 million social followers.

Kardashian’s take-home is less than the $63 million Trump banked in 2014, the last time FORBES tallied his earnings, but it’s nothing to sniff at (for what it’s worth, she endorsed Hillary Clinton). Some 40% of Kardashian’s payday comes from her high flying mobile game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. As a true digital entrepreneur, earnings from her Instagram endorsements, subscription app and Kimoji mean Kim makes more money from mobile endeavors than anything else.

“When you get upfront money, that’s great,” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians  star told FORBES in June. “But if you believe in yourself, you should definitely make sure that you get as high a percentage of the revenue as possible.”

She should know–a formidable sales cut is to thank for her huge game earnings; she also splits revenue with app developer Whalerock on both her $2.99 content platform and Kim-themed emoji, Kimoji.

Kim Kardashian West, Mobile Mogul: The Forbes Cover Story

The Kardashian clan fill six of seven spots on our all-female, first-ever ranking of America’s Top-Earning Reality Stars, who cumulatively earned $131 million. The Kardashian-Jenners alone accounted for a startling $122.5 million combined. That’s not including the paychecks of Caitlyn Jenner, Rob Kardashian or Blac Chyna, who earned too little to make the $8.5 million cut off.

Second-ranked Kylie Jenner ($18 million), age 19, has conquered the lucrative side gig, despite being the youngest member of the list. She banks big thanks to the family’s E! show, plus product lines with the likes of Pacsun, Topshop, Puma and Sinful Colors and a cut of profits from her Kylie Cosmetics. Started in 2016, the purveyor of $29 lip kits is already generating nine figure revenue, FORBES estimates. Additional cash comes from the teenager’s popular Kylie Jenner app and the Kendall & Kylie game.

Inside The Business Of Celebrity Instagram Endorsements

Like her older half-sister, Kim, Kylie demands top dollar for social media endorsements: She shilled for at least eight different brands through her Instagram alone in our time frame. These sponsored posts have become a new moneymaker for stars since FORBES last estimated the Kardashian sisters’ earnings in 2013 (Khloe, Kourtney and Kim made $10 million). Celebrities of the Kardashian-Jenner ilk can now earn upwards of $200,000 for each sponsored post, FORBES learned.

Kylie just out-earns her sister Kendall Jenner (No. 3; $17 million). Already a member of Forbes’  highest-paid models list, 21-year-old Kendall makes this ranking with a higher estimate thanks to extra non-modeling money earned from Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the Kendall & Kylie game, and her app.

Rounding out the top four is Khloe Kardashian. Her Kocktails with Khloe show may have been cancelled, but Khloe’s earnings are on the rise thanks to new ventures such as Good American jeans, a book, and lots of social media endorsements (she posted over a dozen sponsored pictures on Instagram in our scoring period).

The only person not named Kardashian or Jenner on the list? Bethenny Frankel. Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City star is also the only Real Housewife to make the cut, thanks largely to payouts from her Skinnygirl alcohol brand, which was sold to Beam in 2011 for an estimated $100 million. As part of the acquisition, Frankel told FORBESshe’d continue to get on going payments based on how well Skinnygirl beverages performed.

Now in its 12th season, Keeping Up with the Kardashians  continues to propel its stars to sky-high earnings. Kim Kardashian West easily out-earns her husband: Kanye West cashed in $17.5 million in the same scoring period.

“It’s funny when people are like, ‘What does she really do?’” said Kardashian. “I know reality TV isn’t respected the way that I believe it should be, but it’s changing. People get that it is a job.”

So pay attention: That job could land another reality star in the White House.

Recession: AMBCON announces today that Prices Of Bread And Biscuits To Go Up By 15%

Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria, AMBCON, has said the prices of bread, biscuits and other related commodities would be increased by 15 percent with effect from 17th of this month.

The Association in a communique after its enlarged joint meeting of the South-South and South-East geo political zones held in Asaba, blamed the development on the high cost of production.

Decrying that Nigeria’s economic recession was taking a more dangerous twist, the Association in the communique co-signed by chairman of the Joint Zonal Counci, Sir Hilary Eze, Secretary, Elder Akpan Jude and 12 others from the zones, which include Enugu, Anambra, Edo, Ebonyi, Cross River, Delta and Akwa-Ibom States, said “the adjustment of price is as a result of the sudden increase in the prices of sugar from N7,000 to N19,000, butter from N4,200 to N12,000, yeast from N10,500 to N17,000 and flour from N9,700 to N12,000.

“After considering the impact of the skyrocketed prices of baking ingredients/materials, for the survival of our noble business, which is presently bleeding, the association came to the conclusion to adjust our prices by 15 percent.”

Appealing to the Federal Government to come to their aids, they wondered why all entreaties to the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources to safe them from loosing grip of the business, fell on deaf ears.
